What we collect

The email address you type into the form, and a count of visits to this page. Cloudflare, which serves the page, counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare states “does not collect or use your visitors’ personal data.” Like any web server, Cloudflare also logs each request to the page — the IP address it came from, the country, and the kind of device and browser — and we read that log to tell people apart from automated traffic. We do not ask for your name, we have no account to create, and there is nothing to log in to.

Why we collect it

To email you once, when this app is ready to use, and occasionally before then if there is something worth telling you about it. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. The visit log tells us whether people find this page. We do not use it to identify you.

How long we keep it

Until the app launches and we have emailed you about it, and in any case no longer than 12 months from the day you join — or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the app never launches, the list is deleted.

Our copy of the visit log: no longer than 12 months.

Who else touches it

Both are processors acting for us. No one else receives your address.

Your rights, and how to use them

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to our use of it or to receive a copy. To do any of these, email [email protected] — one message is enough, and we will act on it within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason, and asking costs you nothing.

Who we are

A small independent team building this app. We are not a registered company, and this site sells nothing and takes no payment.

Changes

If this page changes we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what we do with your address, we will email you before it takes effect.
